The button on the very left is the Power button. This ships as On/Off from Gateway, but can be changed to Suspend/Resume in the Setup program. To hard restart the computer, press the Power button down for two seconds.

That shuts the computer off. Press the Power button again to turn the computer on. The light-emitting diodes (LED) starting from the left are: CAPS LOCK, PAD LOCK, SCROLL LOCK, floppy disk drive, and hard disk. There are descriptive icons under the LEDs for quick reference. When each item is being accessed, the LED lights. On the very upper right of the picture are the power LEDs. The left is the power LED and on the right is the battery charging power LED. The power LED blinks once every 7 seconds when the computer is in Suspend mode. The charging LED blinks once per second for a battery warning, twice per second for a battery low status and blinks 4 times per second if the battery is abnormal.
