When the computer first arrives, the battery is installed in the battery bay, but does not have a full charge. The battery bay is located in the right front panel of the computer. Completely charge, then discharge the battery twice. This optimizes the battery's life and performance. While the battery pack may not be charged by itself, battery packs can be warm-swapped in the battery bay. While hot swapping, remember that the bridge battery will only last 10 minutes.

The bridge battery is not accessible. This means that the battery packs can charge while in Suspend mode without totally restarting the computer. Click the hyperlinks for more information.
