The Gateway Solo 2100 multimedia notebook features an 85-key keyboard. To provide the full functionality of a 101/102-key keyboard, many of these keys have been assigned alternate functions, including shortcut keys for Windows 95 and Popup Status Display menus. Connect an external keyboard through the PS/2 port on the rear of the computer, or the PS/2 (keyboard) port on the optional mini-docking station. Press the FN and PAD LOCK keys together to enable the numeric keypad. For normal key functions, press the key alone to get standard lowercase letters, numerals, and punctuation marks. Press the key together with the SHIFT key to get standard uppercase letters and symbols.
