| The LCD display is a built-in, backlit, color, and SVGA. The display can be a 11.3-inch dual scan twist pneumatic (DSTN), 11.3-inch thin film transistor (TFT), or 12.1-inch TFT. Any of these screens provides a sharp, crisp resolution and crystal clear color. Tilt the computer's entire cover forward or backward to adjust the viewing angle. |
Press the FN key together with the LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW keys to control display contrast, or press the FN key together with the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to control display brightness. Note: The contrast control may not be adjusted on the TFT screens. Pressing the FN key together with the F1 (Display Off) key toggles off the display and saves power. Press any key to reactivate the display. A few small dots of color may occasionally appear on the screen. This is normal and does not affect the overall screen image. Connect an external monitor to the computer through the VGA port on the rear of the computer, or the VGA port on the optional mini-dock. Press the FN key with the F3 (LCD/CRT) key to toggle between active displays.
This computer ships with the Auto dim with battery only feature enabled. Auto dim cuts LCD power 50% when the computer is operating on battery power.
