The Power button is located in the upper left corner on the portable computer surface. The Power button is preset in On/Off mode, but can be set to Suspend/Resume. To hard restart the computer, hold down the Power button for two seconds. The floppy disk drive module and the battery pack are hot-swappable in the modular option bay. This means that battery packs can be changed or a battery pack can be changed to a floppy disk drive and back again without having to restart the computer. This does not, however, apply to the CD-ROM drive. To ensure that the computer can recognize and read it, the CD-ROM drive must already be installed when the computer is started.
